Flash tube
A tell tale sign that your flash tube needs to be replaced is a burn mark in the front panel of the flash unit.

Images not sharp
There are many factors for images not being sharp and exhibiting in many ways.

| The eyesight diopter is incorrect for your eyesight making it look blurry though the eyepiece |
| You are too close to the subject |

Images not sharp
There are many factors for images not being sharp and exhibiting in many ways.
Lenses
| Back focusing. The focusing is locking on behind the subject |
| Forward focusing. The focusing is locking on in front of the subject |
| Edge to edge focus. The edges of the image will be soft. |
| Softness through out the range. This may be an indication of wear, in need of a calibration or a distortion in the lens assembly |
| The lens needs a focal calibration |
| Worn guide rollers |
| Impact damage |
| Dusty or smudged lens filter |
Lens guide rollers, when theses wear
out it creates sloppiness in the lens

Camera power and flash control circuits enabling flash synchronization up to 2000th of a second and a wide range of operating voltages to power the camera.
Inside this camera is an high speed interface module programmed to optimize flash trigger and shutter release timing, enabling the use of long duration flash out put at high stutter speeds.
Long duration flash output is normal with most flash units of GN above 42 and above on 75% output
Other features are remote release, flash sync and power supply all in one cable via an in-built sub-miniature connector.
Modification are available for most cameras.
Power requirements 8.5 to 15 DC @3A (can power camera from 12v PC supply)
Camera release options single or double pole switching. Single = pre-release and release activation on one pole (switch)
